History

Stumpy's House of Bar-B-Que was founded in 2004, offering the best hickory-smoked meats and fish in the area. Stumpy's is also known for its appetizers:

Kurt Enger and his wife Barb, along with their kids Krista and Annie, wanted to take St. Louis bar-b-que to the next level. Kurt developed all of Stumpy's dry rub and sauce recipes. The restaurant crews are made up of seasoned veterans of the restaurant business, led by general manager Matt Faust and catering manager George Duvenick (Groovy Duvy). All our hickory wood is hand picked from cousin Billy's farm.

Check out the greatest collection of sports photos anywhere at our St. Peters location. After all, what do you talk about with bar-b-que? Come in and ask to sample a rib or chicken wing and we guarantee you will be hooked.

We are pleased that Stumpy's is the first bar-b-que restaurant to deliver its entire menu.

A quick shout-out to our friend McGraw Milhaven of KTRS 550 AM. Be sure to tune in to his program weekdays from 9 to 11:45 a.m.

We are grateful to those of you who have enjoyed our bar-b-que. We have enjoyed serving you and look forward to seeing you again and again. The rest of you … what are you waiting for?
